Ministries

AACF UCR has a few ministries that make up the fellowship. These ministries include Worship ministry, Inreach ministry, Outreach ministry, Small Group ministry, and Prayer ministry. Information about the ministries can be found below.

WORSHIP

MINISTRY

“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.”

(Matthew 7:24-25)

To worship God is more than just “music” or something that makes us “feel good,” but rather the end of our existence. We are to glorify Him and delight in Him forever. However, worshiping God on this side of Heaven may feel “mundane” when things always stay the same or “discouraging” when things go wrong, especially when we build our reason to worship around things like music, lights, or our feelings. As worshipers/worship leaders, we must seek what truly matters to God by reading His Word and praying to Him so that our lives/ministry/faith/reason for worship would be built on a firm foundation, always genuine in any circumstance.

IN-Reach

Ministry

“As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.”

(1 Peter 2:4-5)

The purpose of Inreach Ministry is to first come to God, to Jesus Christ, and be transformed by the loving message of the Gospel, so that we may serve others in the fellowship out of love and not obligation. And in turn set an example and instigate the rest of the fellowship to love and serve one another.

Outreach

Ministry

"Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should."

(Ephesians 6:19-20)

The main vision for outreach ministry is to reach to the college population at UCR and evangelize to them about the life-changing message of Jesus Christ through evangelism events. In addition, Outreach ministry envisions to provide opportunities for believers to evangelize to non-believers so they may have the chance to share the good news, while also being unified with other christians from different fellowships on campus in order to promote the unity of the body of Christ.

Small Group Ministry

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”

(Hebrews 10:23-25)

The purpose of small groups is to get us into conversation and to push our knowledge of the Bible so we can see growth in our own lives and in our church involvement.

Prayer

Ministry

“And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him."

(1 John 5:14-15)

There are three promises of prayer in this passage; ask, ask anything, ask anything according to His will. First we need to ask. A lot of us don’t have because we never ask. Secondly, we must ask anything. We must realize that nothing is too big or too small for God and we can ask him anything. Lastly, and what I want to focus on is that we have to ask according to His will, how do we do this? Be in His words his promises are presented to us right there and he is faithful to those promises. This year we will be praying through the Pslams which is a book of prayers that we can use to pray to God.
